Manukau City Council works with regional and local partners, and the community, to plan for the environmental, social, cultural and economic wellbeing of our communities, now and into the future.

 

This planning involves many layers, whether

    - What is located, where? or
  • non-spatial 
    - What sorts of services and infrastructure
       do our communities need?

Manukau has been developing a draft Spatial Plan to accommodate the expected population increase of 300,000 over the next 50 years. This has involved a consideration of current urban centres, potential new greenfield sites and the transport corridors that join the centres together.
