Manukau's Draft Spatial Plan

Manukau’s Draft Spatial Plan

Manukau City Council’s draft 2009
Strategic Spatial Plan outlines a growth vision for the City, based on forecasts for population growth
out to 2060 and information on economic, social and environmental trends.  In Manukau, historical growth is forecast to continue…

The growth vision impacts what’s located where, and when it is planned to occur - people, homes, businesses and land use.

How will we ensure
our communities and city
are “liveable” into the future?

Notes

Manukau City Council published an early draft Strategic Spatial Plan for the City in its 2009 Long Term Council Community Plan (LTCCP).

Council and its Tomorrow's Manukau partners took an evidence-based approach to planning, across all four well-beings:

As well as spatial matters, the underlying workstreams covered a wide range of issues, and considered the implications of forecast population growth, and other current and future forces of change, on the communities of Manukau.

Therefore material shown here reflects both spatial issues, and 'nonspatial' (aspatial) considerations.
