“Climate change means we should change; peak oil will means we will have to”.
The two main external drivers are the pressure on resources and in particular “peak oil” (when oil demand outstrips production). This will have major economic consequences and is virtually upon us.
Climate change will not only have physical impacts but will drive major changes in public policy, at home and abroad.
The other drivers of change will have an impact on the first two but also be a response to them.
