Alice Waters and the Edible Schoolyard

Twenty-five years after founding Chez Panisse, Alice Waters and a small group of teachers and volunteers turned over long-abandoned soil at Martin Luther King, Jr. middle school in Berkeley and planted the Edible Schoolyard. Here's a glimpse of how it works.

Shows how food growing can be a part of learning at all levels. It's not so much about food as a context for learning. "We don't talk too much about cooking and farming as a vocation...". I found this to be wonderfully inspiring and such a simple concept, that can be applied anywhere.
