A Possible Future Transport System
Future Transport Systems
A future model could include:
Development around linked public transport hubs
Moving people (not cars) on, off, and around the isthmus
Electricity powered transport trains and trams
Notes
In the future, we could be moving thousands of people – not thousands of vehicles – on, off and around the isthmus.
Growth could be diversified and spread: both within the isthmus and out to the North, South and West.
The transport system could consist of “loop” lines that connect the growth hubs.
High-speed electric rail and local connecting tram services could provide easy access to all parts of the city, from almost anywhere.
