Welcome to Towards 2060!!

 

This project, based in Manukau, is facilitated by Manukau City Council on behalf of it's Tomorrow's Manukau partnership and is for the Community.  The project extends until July/August 2010 and in that time we want to provide the opportunity to:

 

·          Inform, stimulate and provoke community discussion about the future

·          Study opportunities for commercial and social development which incorporate our increasing population 

·          Examine global to local trends or significant drivers of change and their potential effects

·         Trigger individual and collective actions to develop living patterns which will be sustainable in the longer term, in the light of those drivers of change

 

We don’t know what’s in the future but we can have a vision of:

·                 what’s possible

·                 what’s preferable 

·                 what's plausible

and consider how to achieve that vision.
